Maria Katsaroú
Mini Hub Assistant
Maria studied Social Anthropology, with main interests in gender studies, gender-based violence, and trauma. She soon realized that raising awareness around issues of solidarity and respect for diversity is of crucial importance in our time. A restless spirit, she began losing herself in the world of books from a very early age. She therefore decided to learn, through creative writing courses, how to use her imagination to build worlds of her own. The outcome of this journey was the collective work of short stories and poems “Μετά Βίας Φωνές”, which aims to shed light—through simple, everyday stories—on different forms of violence.
Her experience as administrative staff in children’s summer camps, as well as her collaboration with children of all ages, gives her inspiration and hope. Full of empathy and passion for social change, she strives to create a positive impact through her work.
Her interests include non-formal education, volunteering, community empowerment, and social policy.
